Andrew Kamin, Founder + CEO

Andrew Kamin-Lyndgaard is the Founder and CEO of Canopy. Mr. Kamin-Lyndgaard holds a master’s degree in illustration/advertising from Brooks Institute of Photography, and prior to launching Canopy, operated a successful production company. His career highlights include operating imaging labs, managing large commercial photography studios, supporting four full-time photographers and excelling as a full-time art buyer for Target Corporation.
In his migration from a photographic, advertising and production focus, Andrew saw that consumers and developers needed new ways to interface with accessories. Andrew created several products to address these tech community needs and now directs Canopy’s focus to create expansive technology products for the mobile marketplace. Andrew anticipates what’s to come in the tech world with simple, well-executed, forward-thinking insights.
John Deedrick, Executive Chairman

John Deedrick is Canopy’s Executive Chairman. He’s a Managing Director for Linn Grove Ventures, an early stage life science venture capital fund. Linn Grove is currently raising $125 million for investments in agriculture, animal sciences, nutrition and health + wellness.
John is President of CHIP Solutions, a small business consulting firm which provides significant value-added services to new and emerging early stage companies in various markets. He is chairman of Physio-Insight and Rochester Biomedical. Prior to joining Accuitive Medical Ventures, John was a Venture Manager for Mayo Medical Ventures.
Prior to joining Mayo, John spent twelve years in numerous operating roles within Honeywell and Alliant Techsystems. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Northwestern College and an MBA from St. Thomas University.
Matt Pacyga, Chief Strategy Officer

Matt Pacyga is Canopy’s Chief Strategy Officer. He oversees software strategy for internal games, applications and core multimedia for the company. His expertises include : concepting complex ideas, multimedia production, sound design, motion design, art directing, application interface design with a focus on user experience, estimating timing and budgets, providing guidance surrounding emerging technologies and best practices.
Prior to his time at Canopy, Matt was CEO of Gray Squid Division where he built a mobile application development business from the ground up. Additionally Matt worked at the Nerdery, a Minneapolis-based interactive production company where he educated more than 240 agencies about new technologies and creative process.
Joel Stewart, VP of Software Engineering

Joel Stewart is the Vice President of Software Engineering for Canopy. His background as a Principal and Lead Engineer in the mobile and game industries for over six years has given him the experience, expertise, and knowledge needed to direct all aspects of Canopy’s software products from applications to games to firmware.
Prior to Canopy, Joel was the CTO and CFO for Gray Squid Division, where he completed numerous client projects for the iOS platform as the Principal Engineer. Before that, he was a Lead Engineer at Electrotank, Inc. During his time at Electrotank he oversaw various teams of engineers, artists, designers and QA engineers that were remotely located worldwide.
One of Joel’s most notable accomplishments at Electrotank included the building and pioneering of a cloud based 3D avatar rendering solution for 2D games. He also worked on multiple Virtual Worlds and Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) for Ubisoft, NHL, Neopets and MTV. Before Electrotank, Joel was a Software Engineer at Destineer Studios in Plymouth, Minnesota where he worked on a first person 3D engine for military simulations that had multiple deliverables to clients including the CIA and FBI.
John Devlin, Chief Finance Officer + Co-Founder

Mr. Devlin has implemented effectual financial and acquisition strategies contributing to the success of several companies.For 20+ years, Mr. Devlin has participated in several startup companies. He has built an extensive foundation in technology development and transfer, operations, product distribution and strategic financial management. He has been involved in the tech industry for the past 10 years in various capacities including CFO, President and CEO. Mr. Devlin holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and a B.S. Degree in Communications and Media.
